POCO has launched its latest budget smartphone in India dubbed C50. The smartphone starts at Rs. 6,499 for its base 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant, and will go on sale from January 10 via Flipkart. That’s good news for many people who would love to get their hands on a budget-friendly gadget.
The new entry-level gadget by the Xiaomi sub-brand boasts a waterproof-style notch display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. It comes in two distinct color options and two RAM and storage configurations. Among the most notable highlights of the POCO C50 include an AI-backed 8-megapixel dual camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, and 10W charging support.
This latest model in the budget-friendly C series appears to have run-of-the-mill features and resembles the Redmi A1+ launched in October last year. But we still have to wait and see the kind of response the budget smartphone gets in the market.
Key Features of POCO C50
As mentioned earlier, the POCO C50 budget-friendly smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It also boots Android 12 (Go Edition). Under the hood, the device packs a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.
The key features don’t end at that since it is equipped with a dual camera unit comprising an 8MP (f/2.0) primary snapper and an unspecified second lens. Up front, the POCO C50 gets a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The 5MP front snapper can capture crisp and vibrant photographs in all lighting conditions.

On the connectivity front, it offers dual SIM, 4G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro-USB port. POCO C50 features an immersive 6.52-inch HD+ Display with 720X1600 resolutions, not forgetting a touch sampling rate of 120Hz.
POCO C50 Price in India, Availability
POCO C50 is priced in India at Rs. 6, 499. This is the price for the base 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. On the other hand, the 3GB + 32GB version is priced at Rs. 7, 299. It is offered in Country Green and Royal Blue color options and is currently listed on Flipkart. As for the sales, they will start on January 10.
The brand is currently offering the new device at a special launch day price of Rs. 6, 240 and Rs. 6,999 for the 2GB and 3GB RAM variants respectively. We’re not sure how long this pricing will last.
