Vivo will soon launch the Vivo V29e in India — its camera-focused mid-premium offering. The company has already teased the phone’s design, showing a slim smartphone design with a curved display. Moreover, the company also revealed that the Vivo V29e would feature color-changing technology on its back panel, which is touted to transition rich hues to more captivating glamour. The smartphone will be available in Artistic Red and Artistic Blue variants.
The official Vivo V29e product page notes the phone will feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera with “Eye Auto Focus” for capturing sharp, finely detailed photos. Likewise, the 64-megapixel primary rear camera is supported by optical image stabilization (OIS) to facilitate steady shots in dim conditions. Additionally, the Vivo V29e will offer specialized night-time portraits.
On the front, the smartphone will sport a minimal and sleek design with a centrally located punch hole for the front camera. The screen will sport a 3D curved design with a 120Hz refresh rate and 58.7-degree curved glass. It will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 480 SoC, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage options. The smartphone is expected to be backed by a 4,600mAh battery with support for rapid 80W charging.
Tech Desk also shared a Geekbench score of the V29e that reveals a single-core score of 899 and a multi-core score of 2045. The vivo V29e is set to run FunTouch OS 13 based on Android 13.
Vivo still needs to confirm the pricing of the V29e. However, the device is expected to be priced below Rs 30,000 for the base variant. The phone will be available in various color and storage combinations, including variants with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
Regarding the cameras, the vivo V29e is likely to be offered in two dual camera variants with either 12MP or 16MP sensors. A flash will also back the rear camera for better low-light photography. The vivo V29e is also likely to feature a fingerprint sensor on the back for added security.
The vivo V29e is likely to debut in a variety of Indian markets. The smartphone will be available on Flipkart and Vivo’s official website. The vivo V29e is expected to be launched on August 28 in the country.
